Link(s) o'Day

Reminder that I will be on a plane all day Wednesday and then with family in North Carolina for a week. I do have time carved out for the draft on Thursday night but if more craziness goes down tomorrow you are all on your own. Be safe. Oh, and Daily Links might be less then daily for a little while. Try and hang in there.

  • Silver Stars rally past Mercury - WNBA - Yahoo! Sports
Yahoo! recap of the Mercury 91-87 loss to the Silver Stars. Needless to say, I am not doing a full recap of this game. I saw the final 3 quarters and mostly the team just looked tired. Cappie missed shots she normally makes. Mental mistakes lead to turnovers and give the Stars their due for taking advantage and playing well. The Mercury are in the middle of a tough stretch of schedule and they have two more road games left on Thursday and Saturday before getting four days off. They need to find a way to overcome and avoid losing their third straight game. This is a very good team that still has some holes.

Suns

  • azcentral.com blogs - Coro's Suns dish: The draft's top 15?
With the Suns picking 14th in Thursday's draft, the NBA's draftee invitation list of 15 players is interesting. Tyler Hansbrough, Austin Daye and Terrence Williams made the cut of players that will be in New York for media interviews on Wednesday, meaning they likely will be the ones at the Garden's WaMu Theater on Thursday night. Earl Clark, James Johnson, B.J. Mullens and DeJuan Blair did not make the list.
