Bloody Rivalry? Well, just ask Steve Nash.
I'll be cheering my a$$ off downtown at the ol' US Airways Center, formerly America West Arena, which is situated right next to Chase Field, formerly known as Bank One Ballpark. Naming rights. Ugh.
Anyway, have fun on the game thread! Wil is going to monitor the need for an overflow (or two), and I'll do the recap with some firsthand viewpoints when I get home. Too bad I don't know what any of you other jokers look like who go to games (except Seth, I guess) or I'd say hi.
Afternoon game notes:
- Josh Childress missed practice yesterday with a tweaked hip flexor (in addition to his broken finger) but is almost certain to play tonight
- George Hill is questionable due to a strained neck from a flagrant foul during the Clipper game a couple nights ago
- Rookie C Tiago Splitter appears ready for his second NBA game ever, after missing all of preseason and the first two regular season games. "He's no Duncan," according to Pop, but it sounds like this kid will be a good one anyway
- Everyone else seems healthy and ready to go.
Scroll down the home page for a preview to tonight's tilt against the Spurs. You'll see mine, plus links to SBNation AZ and Pounding The Rock.
Let's do this!
