Gamethread: Suns still in the giving spirit; have a big L wrapped up for the Knicks

The Knicks look to get healthy after losing three of their last five games, including yesterday's Christmas day defeat at the hands of the Lakers, while the Suns hope to spread the sickness. Three pointers should fly at USAC tonight. Hopefully the Knicks will fly home with another loss.

Amar'e Stoudemire will not play as previously reported in the game preview.

Also out are Carmelo Anthony and Raymond Felton.

This is good news for Suns fans hoping for a win tonight. To delve a little bit deeper, does Woodson think his team can still handle the Suns even without two starters so he might as well let them nurse injuries.... or is it just a matter of possibly sacrificing now for the better good? Slight to the Suns or just being prudently cautious... or both?
