Video: Suns mental lapses creating insurmountable humps

Postgame video featuring Alvin Gentry, Markieff Morris and Luis Scola following the Suns Thursday night loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Watching these postgame interviews, they pretty much could have been from any number of nights. The pattern is now well established. The Suns suffer mental lapses either in the first or third (or both) quarters and fall behind. They fight hard to get back in the game and because the margine of error is small (and because they obviously don't have great good options late) it's game over.

I put Scola in the top video slot mostly because I chuckled when he said "majority". It's not like he said anything all that different or noteworthy.

Here's Gentry and Morris as well basically saying different versions of this line from Alvin: "We play hard and complete like crazy but we've just got to be a little bit smarter in what we're doing."

But you know, as bad as this team's record is, they are in these games and I just can't help but feeling they are going to go on a run at some point (as Dave says). It probably won't matter other than to reduce their lottery ball count, but at least talking about wins will be more fun than this.
