Gamethread: Phoenix Suns at Sacramento Kings for some but not all of the preseason marbles

Tip-off in Sacramento is set for 7 p.m. PST. The Cardinals are losing already so you might as well join us. Preseason basketball trumps the NFL anyway, right?

Things to keep an eye on:

  • Point Guard Match-up: This game features a lot of point guards. The Suns have Goran Dragic, Eric Bledsoe and Kendall Marshall. The Kings have Isaiah Thomas, Greivis Vasquez and Ray McCallum. Who has the better trio?
  • Slowing Down Cousins: DeMarcus Cousins was a monster in the Kigs' last game. How much does Gortat play against him? How will the young bigs (Alex Len, Miles Plumlee, Slava Kravtsov) fare when an if they are called upon?
  • Rookie Shooting Guards: The Suns have Archie Goodwin and the Kings have Ben McLemore. That's a pair of hyper athletic young shooting guards still trying to figure the NBA game out. This matchup should be interesting to watch. Who comes out on top?
  • Mook Morris Says He's Not Markieff but he is the Shooter the Suns Need: Is he? Tune in to find out.
  • Paul Coro dropping some pregame knowledge about the rotations.

Now, who's ready for some Phoenix Suns basketball?
