JerseyGate: T.J. Warren becomes third Phoenix Suns player with injured digit from opponent jersey

Another player, another injured finger

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

After as thrilling an end to a preseason game as you could hope for, the Phoenix Suns also had a bit of bad news to share tonight after their overtime win against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Apparently, rookie small forward T.J. Warren injured his thumb during the game as it got caught in another player's jersey.

If you think that sounds familiar, you are correct.  The same thing happened to Suns' center Alex Len during Summer League, only it was his pinkie instead.  Anthony Tolliver also suffered a hand laceration caused by a jersey during training camp as well.

As of now, there is no indication of the severity of the injury.  It could be a strain, a sprain, or a fracture.  The Suns won't know for sure until tomorrow.  Until then, let's just hope for the best.

Stay tuned...
