Bum luck for one of the newest Phoenix Suns, Anthony Tolliver. The forward sustained a right hand injury in practice today, requiring three stitches. According to a Paul Coro tweet, Tolliver got his finger caught in a jersey during a Suns practice at Northern Arizona University. He will be out for about a week, which means he will probably miss the first couple of preseason games against Flamengo (Brazil) on October 8 and the Denver Nuggets on October 10.
This is unfortunate for a player learning a new system, but it shouldn't be anything to get worried about. Coro's tweet also contained the picture below, which shows Tolliver on a stationary bike with his bandaged hand.
At least Tolliver isn't letting the injury stop him from getting in shape, right? Hopefully he'll be ready to go by the Houston Rockets preseason game on October 13. At any rate, there's no reason to think he'll miss any regular season action from the injury.
The 6-8 forward was signed by the Suns in July on a 2 year, $6 million deal.
