Gamethread: Phoenix Suns (30-20) host Miami Heat (35-14)

The Suns are missing Eric Bledsoe, while the HEAT are missing Dwyane Wade. Sounds even to me.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Seriously though, it's an uphill battle for the Phoenix Suns to win this game. It helps that one of their weapons is unexpectedly out tonight.

Pregame quotes:

  • "You would think so [that the team would be amped to play Heat], but this morning it didn't necessarily seem like it. It seemed like another game."
  • "We're just going to play it pretty much straight and if LeBron gets his numbers then he gets them."
  • "As long as we can neutralize some of the other players that go out there and not let them have big games we feel we have a chance."

Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra:

  • (on what challenges the Suns present to the Heat) "The speed. The quickness. The tempo at which they play. Dragic really pushes it. They push it at every opportunity."
