Oh, sweet basketball, how I missed thee.  Sure, it's the pre-season, but that means we are thiiiiiiiis much closer to regular season action.

In other news:

  • The Arizona Cardinals suffered a tough loss to the St Louis Rams, but there's no reason for Cards' fans to panic yet.
  • Matt Damon and Ridley Scott conquered the solar system with a strong debut for "The Martian."
  • Do preseason stats mean anything?  Not really.  But it's still fun to see the Clippers and Lakers struggle to score 70 points on the same night.
  • And, the actual Madhouse on McDowell saw some action as the Phoenix Suns held an open scrimmage and a brand of basketball that was not entirely useless was played.  Also, nostalgia!
