Final Score: Phoenix Suns blast Denver Nuggets on Bright Side Night, 105-81

Finally, an easy game. Seems like a long time since the Suns had a 60-28 lead at halftime. They used that lead to cruise to an easy victory that was never in the balance.

We need to have a Bright Side Night every game of the year, eh?

The Phoenix Suns used the fuel of our efforts to fire up their engines to the tune of a runaway win over the Denver Nuggets that included a 60-28 halftime lead and no-look-back for the rest of the way. Quite nice. Thanks guys!

Eric Bledsoe was on fire, pouring in 30 points in 30 minutes on 11-of-16 shooting and everyone else played their part, covering for Ronnie Price (concussion) and Markieff Morris (knee sprain).

The Nuggets, for their part, couldn't let the Bright Side kids down so they didn't bother really playing that hard. Thanks Nuggets!

First Half

After the Nuggets began the game making 3 of 4 shots, they went cold while the Suns took a huge lead despite not shooting well themselves. The Nuggets didn't try to get into the paint, and were short on most of their shots.

Eric Bledsoe led the team in the first quarter with 9 points, 2 rebounds and an assist. Archie Goodwin came off the pine as the first sub again, putting in a quick 6 points along with 2 rebounds, an assist and a steal. Jon Leuer was him usual hustle self with 5 points and 4 rebounds.

The Suns led 27-13 after one quarter.

They stretched the lead to 38-19 in the second with T.J. Warren doing much of the damage with hustle plays, twice following his own misses with makes.

The starters returned to stretch the lead all the way out to 46-25, playing really active defense and running on every opportunity to run. And Teletovic actually made a shot! (no, not the gimme layup or the putback slam attempt. He missed those badly. It's the three I'm talking about)

The only player that played real, real bad was Brandon Knight. After his 37 point outburst on near-perfect shooting on Thursday, he was terribly off in this first half - 0-for-7 to be exact. Ugly. He didn't even make up for it with assists or rebounds, tallying none of either.

The Suns 60-28 first half marked the franchise's 4th largest halftime lead ever, and 3rd fewest points allowed in the first half. Ever.

Second Half

The second half was all about the Bright Side Night announcement at the middle of the third quarter. They got some T-shirts and some pub.

BSN-1

That was only one section. The new fans we created tonight were spread across 6 different sections in the upper deck, from section 206-214.

Evan Wendt got some great video of the kids and will be putting together a montage film.

Oh yeah, and there was a game played.

The Suns maintained a huge lead over a team they should be able to beat.

I'm sure they set some kind of records for first-half scoring differential, and ended up with a runaway win.

Eric Bledsoe was on fire with 30 points on 11 of 16 shooting before the end of the third quarter.
