Phantasy Phix

Wednesday is the first of four matchups between the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings this season. Last season the Kings took 3 of 4 from the Suns, including a double OT thriller on November 7th.

Who loves the Kings?

Brandon Knight. For his career, the Western Conference team that Knight performs best against is the Phoenix Suns, so it's good to have him in purple and orange. After that his favorite conference opponents are the Portland Trail Blazers and the Sacramento Kings. Against Sacramento, Knight averages better than 18 points a game, and his 6.4 assists are the highest against any opponent not named Phoenix. Not that you needed convincing, but that trade last February is making more sense all the time, isn't it? NOTE: For his career, Tyson Chandler averages a double-double against two teams. One is the Kings, the other is the Suns.

Who hates the Kings?

Markieff Morris. Historically, Morris is badly beaten on the boards against Sacramento. His average of 3.5 rebounds per game is his lowest of any opponent.

Who loves the Suns?

Ben McLemore. McLemore scores more against the Suns than he does against any other Western Conference opponent. His 11.4 points per game average is second only to the 14.5 he scores against the Toronto Raptors.

Who hates the Suns?

Caron Butler. He may not hate Phoenix, but he certainly gets very selfish when he plays them. Butler's 1.7 assists per game are tied for his lowest average against any NBA opponent.
