The Suns, fresh off of a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, come into this game against Dallas looking to start a winning streak and right the ship.

At 13-11, Dallas has been plugging along all season, surprising some with their consistently average to above-average play. They come into the game on a 2 game losing streak, having lost back to back home games against the Hawks and Wizards by 3 points each.

The Mavs are pretty much the quintessential middle of the road team, ranking near the middle in most major team stat categories. The one thing they have been tremendous at this season is protecting the ball: with just 13.2 turnovers per game, they fall 2nd behind only Charlotte.

In the previous matchup with the Suns this season, the Mavs came out ahead big, 111-95. In that game, the scoring came from every angle, as 7 different Mavs players scored in double figures.

The Suns will look to play better defensively this time. With Tyson Chandler back from injury and P.J. Tucker likely to play more then the 9 minutes he did in the first game, improvement seems likely in that regard.

Look for a potential dusting off for Archie Goodwin in this game. In the first matchup of the season, Goodwin had 12 points and 5 rebounds in just 17 minutes. Given the lack of speed and defensive acumen amongst the Mavs' bevy of guards, Archie's ability to attack the rim might get him some playing time and end his streak of DNP-CDs.
