NBA Mock Draft Roundup: More Kaminsky and wings for the Suns

Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

More new mock drafts have come out in the past week. Here's who the experts have the Suns selecting at 13.

DraftExpress: Kelly Oubre, SF, Kansas

The Suns' roster transformation is an ongoing process, with the swingman positions continuing to look like the most pressing need. Kelly Oubre should be able to develop into a strong defender at either wing position with the added ability to make 3-pointers, which would fit in well with the Suns' philosophy. He's got nice upside to grow into, which could make him a solid piece as part of Phoenix's long-term outlook.

ESPN: Frank Kaminsky, C/PF, Wisconsin

At No. 13, there are a handful of interesting prospects still left on the board. Oubre has the most upside, though the Suns might not have the patience to wait on him. Kaminsky seems like a better bet. He's NBA ready, he's an elite shooter (something the Suns could use after finishing in the bottom third in 3-point field-goal percentage) and he can play both the 4 and the 5 behind Markieff Morris and Alex Len.

Sports Illustrated: Trey Lyles, PF, Kentucky

Phoenix signed the Morris twins to four-year contract extensions last summer and former lottery pick Alex Len showed signs of improvement last season, but Phoenix could try and strike gold with Lyles, a top talent who played a secondary role with Kentucky last season. Lyles would be a good fit for the frontcourt because of his shooting ability and offensive versatility. The Suns ranked No. 26 in the league in effective field goal percentage after the All-Star break last season.

USA Today: Kaminsky

Kaminsky's versatile offensive game should fit in very well with what the Suns are looking to do.

CBS Sports: Kristaps Porzingis, PF, Latvia

Porzingis checks a couple of boxes in the sense that he's A) a floor-spacer at the forward position, and B) probably the best prospect on the board here. Phoenix will be thrilled if he falls to 13.

What do you think Suns fans? I have concerns about Oubre and Lyles as raw prospects for the Suns and I think the Suns should be looking more towards defense and rebounding instead of the offense Kaminsky brings. I'd be flipping tables if Porzingis fell to 13.
