Twitter Stalking: How the Phoenix Suns spent their summer vacation

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

Almost the entire Phoenix Suns team have been back at work in the valley for voluntary workouts, and September stands as the last outpost in the slog of summer before we can actually talk about things related to basketballs and scoring points and such.

That said, it's time to use the gift of social media to find out what everyone has been up to over the summer.

Eric Bledsoe

Remember how distressed people were last year when Bled, who was a free agent the whole time, avoided Phoenix during the summer? Remember how people didn't feel like he was really a Sun? Well, he was already back in desert as early as May 28.

Hopefully spending his June throwing weights around whilst clad in Suns gear is enough to convince anyone of his dedication away from the court.

He also had practical advice to offer an NBA 2K gamer that was apparently having some difficulty.

He held a basketball camp... in the Phoenix area.

He was thoughtful enough to procure a backpack for Suns' draftee Devin Booker. How nice of him to consider the packing needs of his teammates.

Once July rolled around it was time to take in the Summer League festivities with his coach.

...and have some fun with his mute teammate T.J. Warren.

Then it was back home to Birmingham to team up with DeMarcus Cousins and K.J. McDaniels for a back-to-school giveaway.

Here are some choice nugs from a random Q&A he held on Twitter.

Bled was active in the Phoenix community, supported his team's summer league, took time to go backpack shopping for his rookie teammate, and might hold the Suns' title for most active Twitterer. He truly is a man of the people.

Brandon Knight

Knight was a free agent at the start of the summer, but that didn't stop him from joining the grassroots campaign to coax LaMarcus Aldridge to join him in Phoenix.

He was also there to meet the big man in person when he could've been looking for offers elsewhere. While it's not yet clear how good he can be on the court, we know that the dude is loyal and happy to have a home in the NBA.

Other than that it looks like he spent his summer at home in Florida, which nobody held against him, I'm happy to report.

In other news, Brandon Knight doesn't tweet much.

Tyson Chandler

After agreeing on a 4 year, $52 million free-agent contract with the Suns, there was some concern that Chandler would be courted back to the Mavs during the Great Moratorium Summer Fiasco and Emoji Battle of 2015.

Tyson was quick to squash any rumors.

According to BSOTS's emoji translator, this means "Thank you for your concern but I will be signing the contract with the Phoenix Suns that we have agreed upon. May you all find peace."

Other than that, he offered a very wooden endorsement of some organic juice cleanse or something...

And his Momma gave him a gigantic bobblehead from his days as a Bull.

That's all Chandler wrote for the summer, pretty much. He's old.

Markieff Morris

...

T.J. Warren

Like many of his teammates, T.J. returned home to give back to his community.

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

And with Isaiah Thomas out of the picture he made a strong case for the title of Most Cryptic Tweeter on the Suns.

Anyway, he also took a trip to Riverside. His old high school.

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

And reminded us that he is T.J. Warren and he doesn't talk much.

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Devin Booker

Devin tweets a lot. He's a kid and he likes his beep-bop boop-bop machines.

His family came out in droves on draft night.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">We didn&#39;t count, but we&#39;re pretty sure <a href="https://twitter.com/DevinBook">@DevinBook</a> had more family than any of the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/NBADraft?src=hash">#NBADraft</a> picks in Brooklyn. <a href="http://t.co/f6JMWp2lR1">pic.twitter.com/f6JMWp2lR1</a></p>&mdash; #WeArePHX (@Suns) <a href="https://twitter.com/Suns/status/614283452179980288">June 26, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

And Devin went right to work on endearing himself to the Phoenix community.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Excited to say that I just touched down in Phoenix. Let&#39;s get to work. <a href="https://twitter.com/Suns">@Suns</a></p>&mdash; Devin Booker (@DevinBook) <a href="https://twitter.com/DevinBook/status/614523799090794496">June 26, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

That's not to say there weren't some ... transitional issues.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Dust storm? Not familiar with these lol</p>&mdash; Devin Booker (@DevinBook) <a href="https://twitter.com/DevinBook/status/614977726693269504">June 28, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

The incomparable Larry Fitzgerald reached out, probably to form an alliance of ridiculously charming Valley athletes.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I&#39;m glad to be here in PHX. Thank you for the warm welcome. <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Unfortunately, photos of Devin's time machine prototype were leaked on the internet.

He forged a remarkable bond with a young autistic boy ... seriously, click the link if you have a few minutes.

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Sorry Devin, but the Suns tried this strategy and it didn't work that great:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">To make everybody happy I think I  would need a clone.</p>&mdash; Devin Booker (@DevinBook) <a href="https://twitter.com/DevinBook/status/635640996706058240">August 24, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

He wrapped up his Phoenix festivities by throwing out the first pitch at Chase Field and soaking in a Mercury playoff game.

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Welcome to Phoenix, Devin. Stay as long as you like.

Seriously.

Sonny Weems

Weems began the summer by cryptically suggesting that he'd be returning to the NBA.

Then signed a contract with the Suns that no one predicted and even had some hugs with Uncle Lon.

He professed his devotion to electronics megastore Best Buy, because he likes options.

There was the time he teamed with the Make A Wish foundation to give a child his very own backyard basketball court.

Before returning to his hometown of West Memphis, Arkansas.

Archie Goodwin

Even the BSOTS emoji translator couldn't decode this one.

Archie offered some insight one what it's like to shake hands with P.J. Tucker.

And...well, actually I think Merriam-Webster would agree with you on this one, Arch.

Archie Goodwin knows the value of jeans.

And he received some dancing advice from the always-helpful Eric Bledsoe.

Guess who's finally drinking age?!?!

Mirza Teletovic

The new Suns forward wanted to give everyone a fair chance at pronouncing his name correctly.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="nl" dir="ltr">Meet me MEER-za Tel-LET-O-Vich <a href="https://twitter.com/Suns">@Suns</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/WeArePHX?src=hash">#WeArePHX</a> <a href="http://t.co/UtOoAT8DLX">pic.twitter.com/UtOoAT8DLX</a></p>&mdash; Mirza Teletovic (@Teletovic33) <a href="https://twitter.com/Teletovic33/status/622332604746960896">July 18, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

He is also quite serious about his dish soap.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="bs" dir="ltr">Podrzimo Ditu!!! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/3D?src=hash">#3D</a> <a href="http://t.co/uYrHZJl8NO">pic.twitter.com/uYrHZJl8NO</a></p>&mdash; Mirza Teletovic (@Teletovic33) <a href="https://twitter.com/Teletovic33/status/624150579649056768">July 23, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Ya think they like hoops in Bosnia?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">This is crazy!! Bosnia is celebrating the gold medal at Under 16 European Championship. <a href="http://t.co/CYedyufepI">pic.twitter.com/CYedyufepI</a></p>&mdash; Sportando (@sportando) <a href="https://twitter.com/sportando/status/633368308977397760">August 17, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

I don't know what he's saying in this next one (perhaps someone from our European contingent can assist), but the man's leisure game is fierce.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="hr" dir="ltr">Dođe ljeto trideseto, godina mi zao nije hvala svima na cestitkama... 3⃣0⃣ <a href="http://t.co/LNyfH3yACS">pic.twitter.com/LNyfH3yACS</a></p>&mdash; Mirza Teletovic (@Teletovic33) <a href="https://twitter.com/Teletovic33/status/644564727977349120">September 17, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

And that about wraps it up. Alex Len and Jon Leuer seldom tweet, Ronnie Price doesn't even have an account, and P.J. Tucker hasn't been on the Twitterverse since his super extreme summer in 2014.

To the rest of you, we at BSOTS say thank you for keeping us abreast and helping the summer to move along that much more.
