Days after trading away center Mac Koshwal to the Santa Cruz Warriors for the rights to Dominique Sutton, the Bakersfield Jam are making moves again.
This time, the Jam have targeted Xavier Silas, claiming the Northern Illinois grad off waivers on Thursday. It's the first time Silas has played for a US-based team since suiting up for the Washington Wizards during the NBA preseason in October 2014.

The Jam didn't waste anytime getting Silas on the floor either. Silas made his debut for the Jam the night after he was signed, a 105-100 loss to Bryce Cotton and the Austin Spurs.

Silas last played for Argentina's San Lorenzo de Almagro, being signed in late November but was released by the club shortly before Christmas. Before that he played for Telekom Baskets Bonn in Germany from late August to mid-November.
He has made two NBA regular season appearances in his career, both for the Philadelphia 76ers during December of the 2012-13 season. His only other NBA Developmental League stints were with the Maine Red Claws in 2011-12 and again in 2012-13.
