Tyson Chandler's mother passed away last Tuesday which led him to miss all of the past week's games. I'm sure all Brightsiders join me in offering our sincere condolences to him and his family.
Game Recaps
@ Portland Trail Blazers - L (124-121) Full Recap
vs Detroit Pistons - W (107-100) Full Recap
vs Brooklyn Nets - L (122-104) Full Recap
@ Golden State Warriors - L (133-120) Full Recap
The Suns had another rough week with three losses and one win. But they kept at least two of the losses close until the end while finding more time for the rookies too. The Brooklyn loss was the only real disappointment of the week as I thought that was going to be a win before game time. Hopefully the Suns will start winning more of those close games as the season goes on.
Key Stat
.298 vs .378
Those are the team three point percentages for the Suns and their opponents so far this season. So far only Jared Dudley (.500) and Dragan Bender (.429) are shooting over .300 from three. The Suns have to pick up their three point shooting. No one thought this would be a weakness for the Suns this season and it shouldn't be.
Quote of the Week
“The formula is simple and I lived it on many teams: You have to let young players play now. You have three years for a player to be molded into a personality the same way as when we have our children, the first five years are so important.” - Earl Watson before the Pistons game

Wild & Crazy Trade Rumors
Here is another one that I found in the past week. It is suppied simply for the sake of entertainment, not news. I find these wild rumors humorous. I hope you do too.
Suns and Cavs to swap Eric Bledsoe for JR Smith?!? Headlines & Global News
The idea is certainly ludicrous and whoever came up with this "rumor" obviously doesn't even know much about the Suns. Here's a quote from the article: "Bledsoe seems to be dispensable to the Suns as they have Knight as the designated starting point guard and Booker as their future point guard." And even if that were true, why in the world would the Suns want to trade Bledsoe for JR Smith?!?
Previewing the Week Ahead
Wednesday, November 16th @ Denver Nuggets (3-7)
Friday, November 18th @ Indiana Pacers (4-6)
Saturday, November 19th @ Philadelphia 76ers (1-8)
This week starts with the Suns in Denver on game two of a six game road trip. The Nuggets are also off to a rough start this year and I think that the Suns can get away with a win in the Mile High city.
Next the Suns head East to Indiana to play the Pacers. This could be an interesting game. Indiana will be another good test for the young Suns but one that I don't think that they will win. I do think that they will keep it close though.
The Suns then make the short hop to Philadelphia to face 76ers on the back end of a back-to-back. The Suns should be able to win this game, even in Philly and even on the 2nd night of a back-to-back on the road... as long as they play hard and that this team seriously despite them having the worst record in the NBA. Phoenix can't afford to not take every game seriously.
I think that the Suns will go 2-1 this week.
How do you think the Suns will fare?
