Hey, there, Madhousers!
How was your Thanksgiving? Aside from a typically awful southern California commute (130 miles in 5 hours!), mine was pretty great.
So, recently I’ve been lamenting my lack of TV viewing. I’ve been meaning to catch up on the fun stuff like Westworld and whatnot. Instead of catching up on what y’all have been watching, I’m here to recommend something you haven’t been: 3% on Netflix.
3% is a Brazilian sci-fi show in the vein of The Hunger Games. Every year, all the 20 year-olds living in dystopian Brazil report to a training center where they begin “The Process”. 97% of the candidates will be eliminated and have to stay in janky, nasty Brazil and the chosen 3% will move on to the “Offshore”, some kind of mysterious utopia. It’s got a bit of a low-budget vibe to it, but the writing and acting are strong. Worth a gander if you’ve got the Netflix.
Anyone else want to recommend something? Like maybe a watchable NBA basketball team? Let us know below!
