And it’s good to see the inimitable Mike Schmitz likes Jones’ future.
Derrick Jones Jr. dunking on the entire D-League per usual. Jumper looks improved. Excellent feet defensively. Still so young.

With his one minute of court time for the Phoenix Suns against Philly recently, Jones counts among a league-record four teenagers to get NBA minutes for the Suns this season already (Devin Booker, Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss and Jones). No NBA team had previously played more than two in a season.
Jones finished with 16 points and 4 steals in the game for the 6-1 NAZ Suns. The D-League affiliate, based in Prescott, is loaded this year with former NBA players Johnny O’Bryant and Elijah Millsap, along with Askia Booker and Josh Gray, who posted a triple-double the other night.
We might not see the Suns go through the entire D-League will call-ups again this season, but reinforcements are there if needed.
