The Northern Arizona Suns decided to move around some pieces on Saturday, dealing forward Greg Mays to the Delaware 87’s in return for a sixth-round pick in 2017’s NBA Development League draft.

Mays was averaging just four points and two rebounds per game for the Northern Arizona Suns in his rookie season in the D-League. Mays attended Wisconsin-Green Bay, a Horizon League school who made a NCAA Tournament appearance in 2014.

Xavier Silas will fill the open roster spot for the Suns, as Northern Arizona also activated him in the move.

Silas played his college ball at Colorado and Northern Illinois, and made appearances for former Suns’ affiliate Bakersfield Jam after they acquired him in January. Silas also played top-level ball for both the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers in the past.

The Northern Arizona Suns are back in action tonight versus the Reno Bighorns at home.
