This week in the Madhouse....
* Give it up for our own Deadpoolio whose film broke records with a $135 million opening!
* Games were played at All-Star Weekend but none of them involved defense. The West won the actual game, 190 something to not-190 something. The USA won the Rising Stars Challenge where Devin Booker had 23 points, and Zach LaVine took MVP honors. LaVine carried that momentum into the Slam Dunk Contest for his second straight win. Devin Booker may remind people of Klay Thompson, but he's not quite there yet... Klay outdueled both Booker and fellow teammate Steph Curry to win the 3-point contest.
* No, that's not a typo on the schedule: the next Phoenix Suns game is not until February 19 against the Houston Rockets. But there's only 3 days to the trade deadline and the Suns have to do something-anything-oh-god-please-just-freaking-anything between now and then, right?
* Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died. That's a pretty big deal. If you're going to discuss him (or politics in general), just please be respectful of one another. I'd say we're all Americans here, but we're even more than that on Bright Side: we're earthlings!
What are your trade deadline hopes and dreams?
