Final Score: Phoenix Suns Beat Los Angeles Lakers 119-107; Hand Kobe One Last Loss

Despite their own home crowd cheering against them, the Suns made the true fans proud tonight and sent Kobe Bryant into retirement with one final loss in Phoenix.

The Phoenix Suns start the game with Brandon Knight, Devin Booker, P.J. Tucker, Jon Leuer, and Alex Len. The Los Angeles Lakers start D'Angelo RussellJordan Clarkson, Kobe Bryant, Julius Randle, and Roy Hibbert.

First Quarter

The Suns are the first on the board with a foul on Booker as he drove to the basket and got fouled. He only hit 1/2.

Kobe touched the ball abd the crowd lost their mind...Kobe hit his first shot and they erupted like he just won another championship...sheesh.

Crowd loudly cheering every Lakers basket now...not just Kobe's.

So disappointed...

Anyway, back to the Kobe...I mean...game.

Suns are down 11-7 two-thirds of the way through the first quarter.

Kobe hits another jumper...crowd goes ape...rinse and repeat.

Suns train the Lakers 22-16 after one.

Second Quarter

Alex Len gets his first basket of the game to start the second quarter.

Ronnie Price hits a three, and now the Suns are down just one at 22-21.

Suns are going back and forth, but missing some easy opportunities. Len just blew an easy putback on a smaller opponent by rushing to get the shot up.

Suns allowing too many opportunities, and not capitalizing enough on their own. Down 10 now, 36-26, halfway through the quarter.

Booker with a nice drive all the way to the rim.

Suns starting to surge a bit. Now down just 4.

Common foul...as it should be. PJ Misses both free throws.

Strong and-one dunk for Len there. Foul on Kobe...the crowd disapproves. Len bricks the FT.

Leuer with a strong and-one dunk...He makes his FT.

Suns down 45-40 with just under two minutes remaining in the half.

Booker hits a jumper...Suns back down one.

Kobe misses...crowd still goes wild.

Knight gets fouled and hits one of two...tie game.

Brandon Knight scores at the other end, but Suns give up the outlet pass and Lakers tie it 47-47 at the half.

Third Quarter

The Suns get first blood as Alex Len flushes another dunk. Suns take lead.

Booker hits a shot, and another. He now has 17.

Brandon Knight blocks Kobe...the crowd takes offense.

Mirza hits a three and the Suns go up by six. Timeout LA.

D'Angelo Russell hits a big shot but Mirza answers with a long-range three-bomb...Suns keeping pace.

Suns going back and forth again. Kobe taking some hero shots, making and then missing some.

It's the Booker show right now, whether or not the Kobe fans want it to be.

Booker draws the foul and hits a pair of FTs. He now has 24..you know...like that popular jersey in the arena tonight.

Fourth Quarter

Phoenix leads 83-74 to start the fourth quarter.

Jon Leuer hits a three to start the quarter.

Suns starting to get a bit sloppy and the Lakers are capitalizing. LA down just 4 points now.

PJ hits a big basket but then Russell hits a three. Jon Leuer answers at the other end.

Larry Nance Jr. gets the dunk and the crowd erupts, but PJ with a grown man basket and-one to answer him back.

Brandon Knight hits two back-to-back threes and the Suns go up 12.

Game Over, Suns Win!!!

Sorry Kobe. Actually...no I'm not. Muahahahahaaaa!
