Just yesterday, the Phoenix Suns' D-League affiliate was the Bakersfield Jam. Now, it looks as if the Suns will have a new affiliate, closer to the top-flight team in Arizona.

The Suns' D-League affiliate will be located in Prescott Valley, and it's still unsure to whether Phoenix is getting a brand new team or if the Jam are moving from California.
This is a recent trend with NBA franchises as both the Bulls and Raptors have moved their D-League franchises or plan to move them closer to home sometime in the near future.
The trend is sweeping across other sports as well. This season, the NHL's Winnipeg Jets moved their AHL franchise into their own building, the MTS Centre, to help lower travel times of minor league prospects when they receive a call up.
