It's a playoff win. CALL IT A PLAYOFF WIN. With Marquese Chriss out with an illness, the Phoenix Suns held off the Miami Heat, 77-74 in 2016 NBA Summer League action on Thursday. The Suns improve to 3-1 this Summer, the Heat fall to 3-2.
Tyler Ulis, the NBA Summer League's leader in assists per game turned in another impressive performance. Ulis added 8 more dimes on Thursday and connected on 9 of 14 shots, scoring a team high 20 points.
Dragan Bender, the top pick of the Suns in last month's draft struggled in the win. The number four overall pick missed 10 of his 13 shots and committed a team high 5 turnovers.
Four Suns scored in double figures. The Heat were led by Victor Rudd's 24 points. Briante Weber pulled down a team high 7 rebounds.
The Suns continue in NBA Summer League action Saturday against the winner of tonight's Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets game.. Tipoff from the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada is scheduled for 3 pm PT.
