Brandon Knight's 'Back to School Backpack Bash' a big success

Lots and lots and lots of backpacks for Suns fans.

For another year, Phoenix Suns guard Brandon Knight held his "Back to School Backpack Bash," benefiting kids in the greater Phoenix area.

More than 600 students received supplies for the upcoming school year.

This weekend, the Suns and Phoenix Mercury will be hosting their 6th annual "Backpack Drive." Suns fans who contribute will receive two free movie tickets from Harkins Theatres. Donations can be made at the following locations:

  • Chandler Crossroads, 10am-noon (2980 East Germann Rd., Chandler, AZ 85286)
  • Scottsdale 1010, 1:00pm-3:00pm (7000 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85054)

Suggested supplies include crayons, spiral notebooks, pencils and glue sticks.
