Northern Arizona Suns announce coaching staff, front office positions

New, comment

Ok, now we can really play some D-League ball.

On Monday the Northern Arizona Suns, NBA D-League affiliate to the Phoenix Suns, announced additions to its coaching staff and front office.

Joining head coach Tyrone Ellis in Prescott will be assistants Bret Burchard, Tyler Gatlin, and Brandon Rosenthal. Burchard has worked with the Suns for the last six seasons, most recently as the team's head video coordinator.

Tyler Gatlin worked as an assistant coach with the D-League's Texas Legends from 2013-2015. Last season he was an assistant with the Bakersfield Jam.

Brandon Rosenthal joins the NAZ Suns after working in the Houston Rockets video department last season.

Head coach Tyrone Ellis will be formally announced as the first head coach of the Northern Arizona Suns at an event being held at the Prescott Valley Event Center on Thursday. Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver will introduce Ellis and answer questions about the upcoming season. The event is open to the public and doors will open at noon.
