A day after Phoenix Suns small forward T.J. Warren announced on Twitter his triumphant return to the basketball court, he learned that his minutes once the season starts may increase more than originally planned.
Suns announce P.J. Tucker underwent a low back microdiscectomy procedure. Tucker is expected to be out 6-8 weeks. https://t.co/QyZplpeFT5— Phoenix Suns (@Suns) September 15, 2016
It sounds serious. I mean it is serious, but P.J. Tucker is going to be ok. Dr. Dennis Crandall’s surgery on was successful, but it will be six to eight weeks before Tucker is ready to return to the court.
What does this mean for T.J. Warren and the other Suns when the season gets underway next month? Tucker’s absence is sure to create opportunity for other guys on the team, but is it possible that he’ll have to accept a new role when he is ready to play again? How would you like to see the Suns fill the hole in the lineup until Tucker is back in game shape? Think fast, October 26th is almost here.
