Brandon Knight hasn’t played for the Phoenix Suns since scoring 5 points in 18 minutes in a loss to the Dallas Mavericks on January 12th. That’s two straight absences for the 25 year-old guard, and it has plenty of people wondering what’s going on, particularly with the trade deadline looming.
Depending on who you ask, Knight not dressing can mean a number of things. One, he’s to be traded. Two, it’s a wrist injury that Knight has been fighting to play through for awhile. Some actually think that Knight on the floor would be a good thing for the Suns, if the goal is to lose games for the purposes of obtaining a higher draft pick this offseason. You guys are terrible.
We got the an answer. Suns Media Relations is calling Knight’s injury “tendinitis.” We’ll see how long it is before Knight is back in a Phoenix uniform. Up next for the Suns is a road matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thursday’s tip is scheduled for 4pm PT.
