Love questionable to play vs. Suns on Thursday

Let him rest, Cleveland.

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers at Sacramento Kings Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

Cleveland might be without its third leading scorer and leading rebounder when they host the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.

We hope Kevin Love is ok obviously, but if he shouldn’t be playing against Phoenix then that’s fine too. He participated in practice on Wednesday, minus the contact, two days after an early exit against the Golden State Warriors. Love scored three points in 16 minutes in the 126-91 loss. Phoenix and Cleveland just played 10 days ago, a 120-116 Cavs victory.

After Monday’s loss, Love said that his back has been bothering him since Saturday, but added that he would not miss any games. He’s been absent four times this season due to a minor knee injury and a bout with food poisoning.

Thursday’s tip in Cleveland is scheduled for 4pm PT.
