The Phoenix Suns continue to maintain a stranglehold on NBA headlines.
While the current iteration of the Suns has won four of its last five games, it’s best such stretch in nearly two years, guard Eric Bledsoe sits and waits to learn who his new employer will be.
On Thursday NBA reporter Marc Stein revealed that a new potential suitor could be interested in jumping into the competition to acquire Bledsoe’s services.
League sources say Detroit should be added to the list of teams showing interest in Eric Bledsoe, but any deal would surely depend (CONT')— Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) November 2, 2017
But any Bledsoe-to-Detroit deal would likely depend on what the Pistons would attach to Reggie Jackson to sell the Suns on doing such a swap— Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) November 2, 2017
To this point the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, and Milwaukee Bucks are said to be the most interested in adding Bledsoe. The Cleveland Cavaliers have lost four straight and five of six. You can expect the volume of Bled to Cavs talk to increase with every Cleveland loss.
The Pistons are a surprising 5-3 on the young season. 27-year-old point guard Reggie Jackson is averaging 16.4 points and 6.0 assists in those eight contests. Two seasons ago with Detroit he logged career highs of 18.8 and 6.2.
Bledsoe will be 28 next month. Statistically, last season was his best through seven years. He hit career highs of 21.1 points, and 6.3 assists.
If you want to take a look at Jackson, Detroit hosts the Milwaukee Bucks tomorrow at 4p PT.
