The top performer and second place finisher in last week’s Slam Dunk Contest at NBA All Star Weekend in New Orleans is headed back to the D-League. Derrick Jones Jr. will dress for the Northern Arizona Suns on Wednesday night when they host the Windy City Bulls.

This is the seventh such assignment Jones has received since signing a contract with the Phoenix Suns in September of last year, and it’s unlikely this is the last time such a transaction occurs this season.
In 18 games with the Northern Arizona Suns Jones is averaging 14.7 points in 32.2 minutes. He’s seen the court for 24 total minutes in Phoenix this season.
Northern Arizona and the Windy City Bulls tip off from the Prescott Valley Event Center at 6:30p MT.
