The Final Four is in Glendale, Arizona this weekend. Thanks to a North Carolina buzzer-beater last week, John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats will not be participating in Saturday’s events.
But that didn’t stop Calipari from making the trek to the Valley of the Sun. He was in attendance when the Phoenix Suns hosted the Los Angeles Clippers last night. The day after the Suns’ 124-118 loss, Calipari reflected on the individual performances of a couple of his ex-players.
Walking around PHX & thinking about @DevinBook & @tulis3's games last night. Devin had 33 & Tyler went for 16 & 13 but it was more than that

.@DevinBook @tulis3 Sacramento and New Orleans play tonight. What are the chances that all five of my guys start? I doubt that’s ever happened before.

If Sacramento and New Orleans trot out the same lineups they did in their last games, then there will be five Calipari alums on the court at tip. New Orleans Pelicans big men Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins played for Calipari at Kentucky, as did Sacramento Kings Willie Cauley-Stein and Skal Labissiere. Kings veteran guard Tyreke Evans played under Calipari for one season with the Memphis Tigers.
Interested in catching that Pelicans/Kings game? Seriously? Ok, tip is from New Orleans is at 8p ET. Phoenix is back in action against Portland tomorrow. That game is scheduled for a 10p ET tip.
