The verdict is in. Phoenix Suns forward Jared Dudley has been fined $35,000 for his role in an altercation with the Wizards in Washingtons’s 131-127 win on Tuesday night. Here are some moving pictures of the fracas.
Am I the only one who watches that and thinks that Dudley’s handling of the situation screams “savvy veteran?” His teammates high-five him like he dove on the floor for a loose ball.
Of course the incident ended with an ejection for the Suns vet. Wizards guard Brandon Jennings was also tossed and earned the same fine.
In case you were wondering what EXACTLY Dudley and Jennings were fined for, the NBA went out of its way to ensure that you’re not confused.
Dudley earned his ticket for “escalating an altercation.” Jennings will pay because he made “menacing gestures.”
Dudley’s protecting the future. We should applaud him for it.
