Markieff Morris and Marcus Morris are alleged to have been involved in a January 2015 incident that left Erik Hood with abrasions, a fractured nose, and a large bump on his head. Hood attended the same high school as the brothers.
Hood claims he was held down outside a high school basketball game in Phoenix while a group of four men that included the Morris twins assaulted him. Authorities have said a witness has positively identified the brothers as been present at the scene of the attack.
They’ll stand trial for that incident on August 21st, 2017.
After 2 1⁄2 seasons with the Suns, Marcus was traded to the Detroit Pistons in 2015. Less than a year later his brother was dealt to the Washington Wizards.
