Ellis joins Jerry Stackhouse of the Raptors, Matt Brase of Rio Grande Valley, and Delaware head coach Eugene Burroughs.
"We are so proud of Ty,” NAZ Suns President Chris Presson said. “It's nice to see his hard work paying off. This is quite an honor for him personally and us as an organization, and I'm sure it's just the start of what is to come for him."
In the Suns’ inaugural season, Ellis helped two D-League players find their way to the NBA, Johnny O’Bryant and Elijah Millsap.
Three Suns have been invited to the Draft Combine. Askia Booker, Derek Cooke Jr., and Josh Gray will participate in the D-League Elite Mini Camp.
In total 67 players are expected to attend this week’s event. Thursday and Friday festivities will be broadcast on ESPN 2 from 12p to 4p PT. The NBA Draft Combine wraps up on Sunday, May 14th.
