Be advised Phoenix fans, a new era of Suns basketball is on the way. NBA Summer League in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada is just days away and head coach Earl Watson says you may see a new look from the Summer Suns.
Wednesday on 98.7 FM Arizona Sports, Watson told Doug and Wolf he’d like to see the future of the Phoenix franchise at four assume more ball-handling duties.
Earl Watson said he wants Dragan Bender bringing the ball up the court a bit in Summer League. https://t.co/AViVtcoAnc

“We want him to take the ball off the rim as a rebound and push it. We want to see him make plays. We want to figure out a system where he can run some point, just let him open up his game.”
There’s no time like the present. If Suns Summer League superstar Mike James allows it, let’s see what Dragan Bender, point guard looks like.
Phoenix Summer League action kicks off Friday, July 7th when the Suns meet the Sacramento Kings at the Thomas and Mack Center. Tip is scheduled for 7:30p PT.
