Something we can all celebrate.

It’s official. Big Sauce remains a member of the Phoenix Suns.

Alan Williams re-signed with his hometown team on Wednesday. The new deal is a three-year contract worth $17 million.

While many of us may go back and forth regarding whether #TheTimeline is a viable plan or if the Suns should make a move to bring Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving to the desert, it’s actually written in the Suns’ fan code of conduct that you’re required to be an Alan Williams fan. Everyone. Embrace Big Sauce, or GTFO.

Williams was born and raised in Phoenix, and the University of California Santa Barbara product has made the most of the opportunities given to him. He went undrafted in 2015 after a college career that included All-Big West First Team honors three times before getting some run with both the Charlotte Hornets and Houston Rockets during NBA Summer League that year.

He’d play in China before the Suns awarded him with a ten-day contract in March of 2016. That turned into 47 games last year. That turned into a lot of money.

A contract well deserved. Congrats Big Sauce!
