Giving back: Sauce, Ulis, Bled, B-Knight and Duds make the Suns proud

Several Suns players have hosted basketball camps this summer.

For NBA players, summer time is the time to give back.

I’m sure I missed some, but here is a sampling of how many of the Phoenix Suns players have been trying to give back via camps, including two of the lowest paid guys on the team.

Keep an eye out for who seems to be appearing at everyone’s camps...

“Big Sauce” Alan Williams

Right here in the valley, our own Big Sauce is already hosting camps for kids and it’s a great sight to see.

Tyler Ulis

Ulis had his own camp this weekend at Marion Catholic in Chicago, and last month led a camp in Lexington.

The camp in Chicago at his alma mater was the realization of an important dream for Ulis since high school.

The Chicago Tribune reported on it. Click over for more coverage.

"This is something my dad and I talked about doing," said Ulis, a 2014 Marian Catholic graduate. "It's very gratifying. When I was a kid, I'd see guys who made it (professional athletes) go back to their hometown or high school and have a camp."

"This community has been so good to Tyler," James Ulis (Tyler’s father) said. "Not just Marian Catholic, but Chicago Heights and the surrounding area. Tyler understands the importance of giving back. We want to expand this and keep it growing."

Eric Bledsoe

Meanwhile, Suns guards Bledsoe and Knight have been hosting camps for years.

Even in the summer he’s getting married...

Bledsoe is constantly giving back.

In July, Bledsoe had a camp in Phoenix.

Here is his backpack giveaway back in Alabama.

Bled is all over the place, including this celebrity basketball game being held today.

Brandon Knight

This dude gives back a ton.

Jared Dudley

Duds gives back too!

And of course Jared is getting all the young guys together this summer as well.

Devin Booker

Devin Booker seems to be popping up all over at these camps, and he’s even been overseas too!
