Courtesy of a Tyler Ulis Instagram story, we were treated to a sneak peek of the new, old Nike classic jersey that the Phoenix Suns will wear for the 2017-18 season. Or perhaps, it’s an elaborate ruse perpetrated by Ulis. Buckle in, I’m posting anyway.

Best Nike classic jersey in the entire NBA, I say. This is Nike’s first season outfitting the league. Twenty-two teams are receiving four uniforms to wear throughout the season. Phoenix is among the lucky eight that will don a fifth “classic” jersey. The Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and Milwaukee Bucks are the other teams getting a throwback.
Whether or not the shorts pictured will be the same length as similar shorts the Suns wore many years ago has not be revealed.
Looks like the shorts are behind the uniform. Via a https://t.co/KkU9XZxdJ2 photo gallery, here's the uniform being re-created: pic.twitter.com/jzD3HMvtKj
