The Phoenix Suns are celebrating their golden anniversary with the NBA in grand fashion. Fifty seasons means fifty courts for $1 million.
That’s the plan Suns owner Robert Sarver and Phoenix Suns Charities have concocted. That money will go towards refurbishing, restoring, and building fifty basketball courts throughout Arizona.
Robert Sarver pledged $1 million to the Arizona Community on behalf of @SunsCharities88!

“We’re honored to celebrate being a part of this great state for 50 years,” said Suns Managing Partner Robert Sarver. “We take a lot of pride in being a community leader and the investment in 50 basketball courts continues our long-standing commitment to giving back. Most importantly, today’s announcement ensures that the next generation has safe, welcoming and enjoyable places to play the game we love.”
The project will continue through the 2017-18 NBA season. This week, court number one was showcased.
