Chriss out, Caanan status Friday vs. Rockets far from irrefragable

That means more Dragan Bender.

Phoenix Suns forward Marquese Chriss has been ruled out for Friday’s meeting with the Houston Rockets. We’re still not sure what’s going to happen with guard Isaiah Canaan.

Chriss strained his hip flexor in Sunday’s 114-100 beat down of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Dragan Bender will get the start in his absence. He may play Sunday against the Indiana Pacers. We’ll see.

Canaan has been out since January 5th thanks to a left adductor strain. He practiced Thursday. That’s good. If he doesn’t see the court against Houston on Friday, you’ll get everything you’ve ever wanted. More. Tyler. Ulis.

So update those fantasy rosters Phoenix super fans. I don’t know about you, but I sincerely feel like we’re turning a corner. Or not. Maybe we’re just playing ourselves out of a lottery pick. Either way, it’s the Rockets, it’s the Suns, it’s appointment television. It’s tomorrow. Tip is scheduled for 10:30p ET. Plan accordingly.
