In one of the most historic events that occurred last night, your Phoenix Suns have set a new NBA record for three-point shooting.
Quickly making the basketball universe forget the news that the Los Angeles Clippers traded Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons the Suns captured the attention of sports fans coast to coast, and probably internationally, by knocking down a triple for the 1,109th straight game.

Troy Daniels hit the three that made you rethink everything you thought you knew about shooting, basketball, or competition in general. It came three minutes into the first quarter and gave the Suns a 7-3 lead. They lost 120-109. They’ve lost five straight. Eight of nine. Ten of twelve. I’m not scrolling up any further.
What ends first, the Suns’ three-point streak or Phoenix’s playoff drought? That’s a damn good question and you know it. The Suns last participated in the postseason in 2010.
Dallas is up next for Phoenix. Last time these two met the Suns drained 10 threes. So I suspect the streak continues. Tip is Wednesday at 10:30p ET. Enjoy.
