Green, Gay out for Spurs vs. Suns

So get ready for all the Bryn Forbes you can handle

NBA: New York Knicks at San Antonio Spurs Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

The San Antonio Spurs will be without Danny Green and Rudy Gay when they host the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.

It will be the second straight absence for Green, who also missed Wednesday’s 112-106 road loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. In 32 games played this season he’s averaging 8.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest.

Gay will miss his third straight game for San Antonio. He’s not played since a 119-107 win over the Knicks on December 28th. Two weeks was the prognosis at the time, a number you probably don’t care about since we won’t meet the Spurs again until February 7th in Phoenix. Maybe you have him on your fantasy roster though.

Kawhi Leonard is expected to play tonight. We missed him last time we locked up with San Antonio and nearly pulled an upset. No such luck in 2018.

It’s Spurs and Suns tonight at the AT&T Center for the third of their four regular season matchups. Tip is scheduled for 5:30p.
