Have you been waiting, with bated breath, for Davon Reed to make his Phoenix Suns debut? Well wait a little longer. Reed is headed to Prescott Valley.
OFFICIAL: Phoenix Suns Assign Davon Reed to Northern Arizona.https://t.co/rsPShEvZSL
— Phoenix Suns (@Suns) January 8, 2018
Many fans thought that perhaps the stars were aligning for Reed to see the court in a Phoenix Suns uniform on Sunday when the team housed the Oklahoma City Thunder, 114-100. He didn’t. Now he’s a member of the Northern Arizona Suns once again.
Undeniably a critical piece of the Suns’ future in the opinion of this writer, the #32 overall pick in last summer’s NBA Draft is back at full strength following surgery on his left meniscus in late August. He’s appeared in two games for Northern Arizona this season. On January 2nd he contributed 11 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds in a 113-108 win over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Three days later he logged 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in a 125-104 defeat of the Reno Bighorns.
Want to catch Reed in action? Tell your boss work isn’t happening on Wednesday and watch the NAZ Suns face off with the Erie Bayhawks in a thing called the NBA G League Showcase. Time is at 11a MT. Yes, 11a.
