Open Thread: Phoenix Suns (1-5) vs. San Antonio Spurs (4-2)

Will the Suns’ slide continue, or will they notch their second victory?

NBA: Phoenix Suns at Oklahoma City Thunder Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

Probable starters:

Suns - Elie Okobo, Mikal Bridges, Trevor Ariza, Ryan Anderson, Deandre Ayton

Spurs - Bryn Forbes, DeMar DeRozan, Dante Cunningham, Rudy Gay, LaMarcus Aldridge

Following the Suns’ season opener, all has gone wrong since. Will that trend continue against Gregg Popovich’s Spurs, or will Igor Kokoskov’s ‘Blender’ lead to easy, effective looks for Ayton and others?

Personally, I think the Suns will need impressive performances out of their three top draft picks: Ayton, Bridges and Okobo. If not, this roster could be in for a long night as they look once again outmatched all-around on paper.

Follow along in the comments section below as this will sadly be the final game on ESPN the rest of the season for Phoenix.

Update: Igor Kokoskov has replaced Ryan Anderson in the starting lineup with T.J. Warren. Warren has shot 47.8% on 3s so far this season compared to Anderson at 22.7%.
