What would you give up for Fultz?

With the addition of Butler, Fultz is looking more and more out of place in the 76ers starting lineup. From a fit standpoint and his passiveness might not be welcomed by their new star, Butler. On top of that the 76ers need more shooters to put around their star trio. What makes things crazier, is that if they make some extra moves, they could be close to creating max cap space for next off-season (Hello Kemba Walker). One of those moves that’ll be needed to make is moving on from Fultz, someone who I think the Suns should try and make a move for.

It definitely is a swing for the fences and would be a big boom or bust move, but something worth it in my eyes. I think I’ve put a good combination of win now and future trade pieces that could possibly be enough to convince the 76ers to move their former no.1 overall pick. To me a package of Trevor Ariza, the Bucks pick, along with our own 2020 unprotected 1st. It may seem a bit much, I’d probably offer a bit more, but it’s something I could see the 76ers consider. Not only do they get Ariza, a great shooter, defender, and veteran presence. Someone who could help defend all the wings the Celtics, Raptors, and Bucks are going to throw at them. The two picks are also the best type of assets for them, if they do plan on adding another superstar to their payroll. The Warriors have proved how valuable developing cheap rookies behind their superstars is.

For the Suns, I think it’s an obvious choice. They need to finally take a risk on something and quit hoping that our point guard problem will be solved in free agency his off season when in reality we could strike out on each guy we’re targeting. They would lose Ariza which would hurt this year, but would not hurt our long term outlook, and if our pick next year is that valuable it would mean that the team sucks anyways and it might be time to tear it down again. At least with adding Fultz you’re getting the potential of an all star point guard, and even if he doesn’t become a great shooter, his athleticism, his handles, his ability to penetrate, would open up so much more than Cannon ever will. On top of that, he has the height and length to be able to switch on defense and not get abused when matched up on anyone taller than 6’5". If things pan out, a core of Fultz, Booker, Ayton and our trio of wings Bridges, Jackson, and Warren, would probably be the best young core in the NBA, with all of their skills being very complimentary. To me it’s definitely worth the risk if he ever becomes available, what do you guys think?
