Open Thread: Phoenix Suns (7-24) vs. Boston Celtics (18-11)

Four wins in a row is on the line tonight for Phoenix.

NBA: Boston Celtics at Phoenix Suns Jennifer Stewart-USA TODAY Sports

Probable starters:

Suns - De’Anthony Melton, Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges, T.J. Warren, Deandre Ayton

Celtics - Kyrie Irving, Marcus Smart, Jayson Tatum, Marcus Morris, Aron Baynes

  • Tonight is the debut for Kelly Oubre Jr. in a Suns uniform. How will he respond coming off the bench in the second unit alongside Josh Jackson and Richaun Holmes?
  • Booker has been a cold-blooded, elite scorer whenever he visits Boston. Expect more of the same tonight. I’m predicting at least 35 points from the Suns’ max contract star.
  • Al Horford is out tonight for Boston, which is huge for Ayton.
  • A fun matchup to follow closely is Melton vs. Smart. Those two are very similar, and it could be a scrappy battle, like we saw with Melton against Patrick Beverley earlier this month.

Bright Side readers, follow along in the comments section below throughout tonight’s action. Will the Suns win four in a row for the first time since 2015? Let’s find out right now.
