On today’s episode of Locked On Suns, Evan was joined by Cole Zwicker from The Stepien and Kellan Olson from Arizona Sports’ Empire of the Suns. Not only did these two draft experts join me to discuss prospects up and down our boards, but we did so for two hours for you listeners!
We discussed all of the following prospects: Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Deandre Ayton, Mohamed Bamba, Marvin Bagley III, Michael Porter Jr., Jaren Jackson Jr., Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Shake Milton, Jevon Carter, and many more.
How do these names possibly fit in with the Suns? We went over that throughout, including quick discussions on Dragan Bender’s strong play as of late at the 5 and what general manager Ryan McDonough should do with his assets this summer.
Also, we played a quick hypothetical scenario I enjoyed. I’m curious how you answer this as well. If the Suns land at No. 3 and Doncic/Ayton are off the board, who would you vouch for in the war room?
Kellan went with Young while Cole went with JJJ (Jackson Jr.). I had similar answers to them, as Trae and JJJ was a tough choice as far as overall team needs and fit goes.
