You can unquestionably draw a straight line from creating a losing culture and dropping games in historic fashion to a return to the NBA postseason. That being basketball reality in 2018, the Phoenix Suns might get a little bit of good news as they prepare to host the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.
Reggie Jackson could return to the Pistons lineup this week. Detroit is 30-39 and in 9th place in the Eastern Conference, 6.5 games behind the Miami Heat for the 8th spot. The postseason is unlikely, but if Detroit could get a win and Phoenix could get a loss, I’m told that means everyone wins. Maybe not the paying customer.
.@Reggie_Jackson practiced full court today and he expects to return soon, @Keith_Langlois writes in today's Trending: https://t.co/OO2tV8fyKG

This season, Jackson’s seventh in the Association, he’s appeared in 33 games. He hasn’t played since December 26th thanks to a Grade 3 right ankle sprain. Prior to his injury he averaged 14.6 points and 5.5 assists in 27 minutes.
The Pistons have lost three straight, Phoenix is on an eight game skid that many Suns fans would be crushed to see end. I don’t claim to know what’s going on anymore, I only know that it’s not appointment television.
If you disagree, the Suns and Pistons tip off from Talking Stick Resort Arena on Tuesday at 10p ET.
