Open Thread: Phoenix Suns (19-44) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (36-27)

NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder at Phoenix Suns Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Probable starters and pregame notes:

Phoenix Suns - Elfrid Payton, Devin Booker, T.J. Warren, Dragan Bender, Alex Len

Oklahoma City Thunder - Russell Westbrook, Terrance Ferguson, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, Steven Adams

  • Someone who has been out for the entire season, Alan Williams is on track to return later this month. Jay Triano said yesterday that Williams is slated for 5-on-5 action in practice by mid-March. This puts Big Sauce on track to see action in the final 10-15 games, which is a great sign.
  • With Warren back in the lineup after missing their last game in Memphis, Josh Jackson will move back to the second unit. Jackson is a player who comes in and provides energy whether he’s starting or subbing in, but he’s someone I’m looking for to have a big game against Oklahoma City.
  • If Jackson scores 20+ again tonight, he will pass Amare Stoudemire for sixth-most by any Suns rookie with 12.
  • Will the Suns' frontcourt stay out of foul trouble this time around? After Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol abused Len, Bender, and Marquese Chriss, will Adams do the same? That will be a huge key if Phoenix wants to pull off the upset or be sent home with a record of 19-45.
