It has been a forgettable season for your Phoenix Suns. While we were prepared to lose, the 50th campaign has been bad beyond our wildest imaginations. And then some.
But we’re still going to give out a trophy, damn it. It will recognize the one thing evident in many, but not all, of those on the Suns roster. Hustle.
Yes, many nights you have to look close, but these guys are trying and trying hard. Took some nights off too. But they don’t give trophies for that, they give lotto balls.
The Dan Majerle Hustle Award has been given out annually since 2003. It is awarded to “the Suns player who most personified the same hustle and determination that Suns Ring of Honor member, Dan Majerle, displayed as a player.”
Past winners:
- Alan Williams (2017)
- P.J. Tucker (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016)
- Sebastian Telfair (2012)
- Grant Hill (2011)
- Jared Dudley (2010)
